Volunteers Like You Really Can Change Worlds

LaunchAbility® expands worlds for children and adults with disabilities. Our volunteers play a critical role in making this possible.There are many opportunities to make a difference the lives of others!

Volunteer Opportunities

Clerical

Volunteers are needed throughout the year to assist with various clerical duties within the agency from large mailings to filing and computer work.

These opportunities are in addition to those available to our FOLA Auxiliary volunteers and supporters.

Continued Support Advocates

Volunteers in this program work one-on-one with our employed clients, visiting them on the job at regular intervals.  During these meetings the Volunteer observes the client’s performance and speaks with the client, the supervisor and other employees.  The volunteer then reports to LaunchAbility via written forms.  This additional support for our clients and their employers helps to ensure long-term job retention.

Special Events

Volunteers can participate in fundraising activities for BIG annual special events such as A Special Evening and our Expanding Worlds Luncheon by cultivating and soliciting for event sponsorships and/or in-kind gifts and services; and, in SMALL special events for the Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) program.  There are two annual parties held for ECI families and alumni, the Fall and Spring festivals.  For these fun-filled parties volunteers help by soliciting donations of food, drink, decorations and prizes or by organizing activities for the children, decorating, set up or clean up for the event.
