Contract Job Coaches - Dallas and Ft. Worth

LaunchAbility is seeking a contract Job Coach for Dallas and Ft. Worth.  Hours and times may vary.  

Job Coaches will report to the Job Coach Supervisor as well as the Director of Supported Employment.  Additionally, the job coach will provide the following:

 Employer Support:

1. In cooperation with the employer, utilizes and implements systematic instruction, positive behavior supports, and data collection and interpretation as needed.
2. Facilitates natural supports and positive relationships between individual and coworkers and supplements supports as needed.
3. Provides any supports or training necessary to maintain employment including travel training/ arrangements, interpersonal skills, family or personal support, financial arrangements including assistance with understanding and monitoring benefits and work incentives.
4. Develops and implements systematic plan to fade presence at job site.
5. Assists trainees with applying and interviewing for positions after Academy graduation.
6. Provides ongoing technical assistance and support to employer and mentor-coworkers. 

Advocacy:

1. Assures that efforts are undertaken to implement the individual choices and preferences of each person assigned.
   1. Communicates and interacts with all significant people in the lives of people supported to ensure successful employment.
   2. Facilitates natural supports and the development of relationships at work.

Background check and drug screening are required.

Additionally, the hospital requires all workers to have a current TB screen (within a year) and have had or have started the Hepititis B vaccine series. These can be completed after contracting is offered but must be completed before the job coach can work on-site.
