Employment Consultant Specializing in Job Development

The Supported Employment programs specializes in finding people with cognitive disabilities competitive employment as well as job coaching/job training.  LaunchAbility is seeking to fill the Employment Consultant Specializing in Job Development position.  The hours are flexible but generally are from 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday.  Candidates must be available to work some evenings and weekends as needed.

This position works within a team of Employment Consultants to support people to achieve career goals by building positive relationships in the community.  The Employment Consultant Specializing in Job Development builds relationships in the community by cold calling, following up on warm leads, mining job boards, networking and with social media. 

The work environment is 20-60% office and 40-80% community.  The office is climate controlled, but Employment Consultants will be in a variety of settings such as consumers' homes and various business and school settings.  Mileage is reimbursed, and mobile telephone and laptop are provided. Salary with incentives averages mid to upper $30K after one year of employment.
